SET status for Residents of Colcord Estates and Ponderosa Estates

SET - Be Alert Residents of Colcord Estates and Ponderosa Estates are being placed on SET status as a precautionary measure recommended by Valentine Fire Incident Management. Firefighters are preparing to conduct firing operations west along Colcord Road from Colcord Mountain toward the communities this evening due to favorable conditions to reduce fuels between the containment line and main fire. Due to the proximity of containment lines and tactical firing operations, Colcord and Ponderosa Estates are being placed on SET. Have your emergency go kit ready and available. Keep in mind unique needs for your family or special equipment for pets and livestock. Gila County Sheriff's Office Deputies along with Tonto Rim Search and Rescue will be in the area for physical notification. Stay aware of the latest news and information from public safety and public health officials. Updated information will be sent by this notification system when applicable.
